Jama Masjid and Dargah Complex

This complex forms the active spiritual center of Fatehpur Sikri. Entry is free, but you will encounter many worshippers and unofficial touts.

Constructed from red sandstone between 1569 and 1585, this area served as the religious anchor of the Mughal capital. You must remove your shoes and follow strict modest dress codes to enter.

Because it is an active place of worship, expect dense crowds. Only hire official ASI-licensed guides and prepare to firmly decline expensive ceremonial cloths.
